I love the composition and the variations in texture compared to the softness of the water. The black and and white compliments the subject perfectly and the stark white background gives the image the feel of a delicate pen and ink drawing. Also, the pure white of the background, the long exposure effect on the water and the white glow of the house give the image an almost dream-like quality. The patterns of the tree branches taking up such a large part of the frame is quite unusual, but works perfectly against the strong structure of the house and the strength of the stone wall. I will certainly add this to my favourites!
