I like the perspective... and what makes this image special, is the way the first bird (on the right) connects with the viewer ... Beautiful composition... and i must appreciate your patient to wait and get the shot when the bird was looking at you... Great work
Only editing was black and white conversion and adjustments to contrast. I took about 20 shots here. I walked slowly up to them until they started to notice me and get nervous. I then stood there and snapped some photos with my 5DMk3 on silent shutter mode. When they would get used to my presence I would take a couple steps forward. My arm was cramping after trying to keep my 5D from moving as much as possible lol.
That's great, their colours are all part of the overall scheme. Maybe they are in a queue for breakfast. One fish only, please! I had a great one of a flock of starlings perched on the handles of grouped shopping trolleys in a supermarket car park, but unfortunately it wasn't in focus.
Haha the second bird in actual flew over from the end. Every time I would move closer a few of them would look at me to define my intentions. Thankfully I just got my 5D Mark III with the almost silent shutter mode!
